The establishment of Professional Standards among clergy and Religious is a collaborative project undertaken by the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference and Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) - formerly the Australian Conference of Leaders of Religious Insitututes (ACLRI).
Its purpose is to ensure pastoral care for victims of sexual and physical abuse by church personnel, the development of a code of conduct and a national treatment centre for psychosexual disorders.
